Perks of online shopping this holiday season

The holiday season is by far my favourite time of year but with it can sometimes come some unnecessary stresses of finding the perfect gift for your friends, family, and everyone else on your list (teachers, care providers, bus drivers, secret santas, etc). The list goes on and on... Today I'd like to shed some light on the benefits of choosing to shop online this holiday season (and throughout the year).

1) you can shop from any device and anywhere that has wifi or an internet connection, talk about convenient and portability!

2) you can shop in whatever clothing you'd like without being judged (even your birthday suit if that's what you're into 😉 ) 

3) you don't have to feel overwhelmed with crowds upon crowds of people. It can get pretty hot and stuffy in the larger shopping centers this time of year and you can forget trying to find a spot to sit in the cafeteria to grab a quick bite to re-nourish/regroup! 

4) you don't have to fit for a parking space in the overcrowded lots (or be that creepy person that watches people come out and stealthily follows them to their vehicle 😂) 

5) you don't have to worry about fighting off an elderly person for the last one on the shelf or finally (after the whole parking fiasco and fighting to get through the crowds) getting to the store only to find out... IT'S OUT OF STOCK! 😒

6) (and this is probably my ultimate favourite reason of them all) you can choose to shop local and support your local community, friends and family by purchasing through an independent consultant or local business' website. In doing so you are choosing to keep the money within your own community AND help out that entrepreneur's family/dreams and/or business. There's so many unique gift options out there from various social marketing companies and small homemade crafty businesses to choose from, you'll be sure to find something for everyone of your list for any occasion. 

And just some extra food for thought, there are apps/sites that allow you to compare prices and a lot of stores online offer free shipping with qualifying purchases. I know for my toddler's 3rd birthday I recently had purchased a Paw Patrol lookout tower (a hot (pricy) item for this age) from a store (in-store) during their 25% off sale but found it EVEN cheaper from another company online with FREE shipping to my door. I'm talking a $50 savings! Now that's reason enough to make sure to shop around, online being the easiest way to compare to keep more money in your pockets, less stress and stretch your gifting even further. This is also a good way to know if the item is still in stock to save time and energy on going to the store only to find out it's out of stock. You can even choose to ship it elsewhere so you're curious family members don't ruin their surprise/magic of finding the parcel at the door and some offer gift wrapping as well.  Just be sure it'll ship in time if purchasing from out of province/country.
